Tai Chi is defined as "a martial art that utilizes gentle, flowing movements to enhance health in the body and the mind." Some of the benefits associated with the regular practice of tai chi include improved balance and flexibility, reduced anxiety, and increased energy, agility and overall feelings of well-being. Tai Chi for Health promotes the underlying principles of tai chi movement which drive these benefits. Qigong exercises such as "Eight Pieces of Brocade" are included for strengthening the body and calming the mind. Tai Chi for Health focuses on flowing movements ensuring that the body is in constant motion. These movements are based on Yang Style which is the most popular and widely practiced style of tai chi in the world. A chair can be used to help with balance and for support if needed.
