I hope this letter finds you in good health. May is Asthma Awareness Month and the Jerome Alston Memorial Foundation is joining with thousands of organizations to increase public awareness of the asthma epidemic. This cause is near and dear to my heart because I lost my dad in December 2012 to asthma related complications.
We cordially invite you to join us as at the Breathe Easy 5K Walk to raise awareness and funds to help get this epidemic under control. This event will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the Norfolk Zoo and will begin at 8:30 am.
Asthma affects more than 25 million people of all ages and races. And although it is a widespread disease, public awareness of common asthma triggers as well as effective asthma management strategies remain limited. Your donations to the Jerome Alston Memorial Foundatoin will also defray the cost of organizing this event thus increasing the likelihood that we will meet our fundraising goal of $25,000.
