MINNOWS: Advanced Beginner 2LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Learn how to do a resting stroke and tread water longer; learn about goal-setting and fitness principles; continue to build on and refine the five basic strokes: front crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, and elementary backstroke. Expand on water polo, synchronized swimming, and rescue skills.REQUIRED SKILLS TO PARTICIPATE: Can tread water for 20-30 seconds. Can swim basic crawl and breast strokes with face in the water while taking occasional breaths for 25 yards (the length of the lap pool). Can also swim on their side and back using basic elementary back and back crawl strokes for 25 yards.
