Off Broadway 5K and Newburgh Running Festival
Race for a Strong Community.
Safe Harbors has created one of the best road race events in the Hudson Valley! The racecourse highlights the City of Newburgh’s historic and natural beauty. There will be awards, refreshments, prizes and lots of fun!
Event details and schedule
- Registration is 7-8:30AM
- Run starts at 9AM sharp
- Awards and prizes raffles will be done around 10:30
- There will be free post-race refreshments – fresh fruit and water
- There will be health and wellness related vendors, with food, smoothies, locally-sourced organic foods for sale available from around 7AM on
- We will also have Zumba doing a stretch clinic, therapeutic massage as well as free chiropractic assessments available from around 7AM on
Safe Harbors of the Hudson, along with St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, will host the Off Broadway 5K and Newburgh Running Festival Run and Walk. Race proceeds go directly to Safe Harbors and its programs. The USATF-certified race course (USATF Certificate # NY14153JG) winds through New York State’s largest historic district and features breathtaking views of the Hudson River and world-renowned architecture.
Parking and Arrival Info:
Registration begins at 7AM and ends promptly at 8:30. There is free street parking on Liberty & Ann Street(s) or in the municipal parking lot on Ann Street. If you park on Broadway, you are responsible for metered parking at the rate of 25 cents per half-hour and any subsequent tickets. If you park in the municipal parking lot, you can walk through Safe Harbors Green, our new park, to access the Lobby at the Ritz for registration.
There will be a DJ who plays music to run to and be inspired by.
There will be fabulous raffle prizes available. Make sure your bring your wallet so you can buy raffle tickets. Lots of items, memberships and gift certificates to favorite and local restaurants as well as family-oriented and/or health & wellness places to visit!
There will be ZUMBA and yoga stretches, both before and after the race.
