About This Activity

The Buckeye Elite will be holding the first annual Buckeye Memorial Challenge at Don Edwards?s baseball complex, located in Newark, Ohio, the former host of the Babe Ruth World Series. We expect the tournament field to be as competitive as the Buckeye Elite Showcase. Tournament play begins on the evening of Friday May 24th for central Ohio teams and runs through May 27th. The tournament will consist of two different age groups: 16 U15 teams and 16 U14 teams.

*Event Format*

FOUR TEAM POOLS, EACH TEAM PLAYS EVERY TEAM IN THEIR POOL. All teams will advance to single elimination championship play. The top 2 teams in each pool will advance to the Gold division; next 2 teams in pool will advance to Silver division. The championship rounds will be single elimination.

*Event Awards*

The Gold Champions and runner ups will receive a team trophy and individual awards. The winner in both Gold divisions will receive free entry to the Buckeye Elite Showcase Tournament. This tournament will take place July 11th 14th 2013 in Columbus Ohio. The Buckeye Elite is one of the largest baseball tournaments in the country. Over 200 teams attend each year from over twelve states and Canada. The Silver division champions and runner ups will receive team trophies.

* 4 game guarantee, 2 licensed umpires per game, 2 lighted fields, on-site concessions, NO gate fees

This will be another highly competitive event, just like the Buckeye Elite Tournament. This event will fill very fast - you don?t want to miss this one!
