1 Tuesday, May 20, 6:00 - 8:30 pm Overcome "Stage Fright" for Audition Success Taught by Rachel Barton, 16+ $28 Member / $31 Non-member This 2.5 hour performance workshop will deal with how to overcome audition anxiety for being onstage as well as using these skills for life's stage. Participants will learn techniques for overcoming audition anxiety and how to develop the skills to be in front of people and the art of performing. Learn what goes into the audition process and how to successfully navigate it for success and feel good about your performance. Some topics to be covered are how to prepare for a cold reading , how to prepare an audition monologue, and how to prepare a scene while interacting with another actor. Participants will be given monologues and scenes to practice their stage skills during this workshop. - Rachel is a teacher, actress and singer performing in many stage productions, dinner theatre, and film throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. She headed a regional film commission in Connecticut and worked with the State Film Office on productions for Sony, Columbia Pictures, & HBO. She has taught performing arts for adults and children in Connecticut, New York, Delaware, & Maryland.
