About the Charity: CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Will County is an accredited, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit agency. Our mission is to provide well-trained volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in our juvenile court system. Since 1994, CASA of Will County has served over 2,300 abused and neglected children and helped place them in safe, secure and loving permanent homes. We currently serve 65% of the children in care, and we are continually working toward our overall goal of providing an advocate for every child in need.
When children are betrayed by those they trust and enter into the court system, navigating the maze of social service agencies and courtroom hearings can be overwhelming. Our advocate supervisors and volunteers work hard to minimize the effects of the pain and distress that are placed upon these children. It is our goal to not only help these innocent victims to have a voice within the legal system, but to help them heal emotionally as well.
