This is the continuation of the Tuesday A1 - 1. Semester course from the Fall Semester. German language competency required to enroll in German A1: Beginner – 2. Semester: Understanding: The language learner should be able to understand simple everyday situations like grocery shopping, birthday celebrations and family life. The language learner should be also familiar with the numbers and ordinal numbers. Speaking: The language learner should be able to introduce him- or herself. S/he should be able to speak in short sentences about everyday situations like grocery shopping, birthday celebration and family life. The language learner should be able to count and to apply the ordinal numbers for dates like birthdays. Reading: The language learner should be able to read simple sentences of daily situations like grocery shopping, birthday celebrations and family life. Writing: The language learner should be able to write simple sentences in present and past tense. S/he should be able to apply the correct use of upper and lower-case words in sentences. Grammar: The language learner should be able to apply separable verbs, present and past tense with a correct sentence structure. The language learner should be familiar with accusative.
