Hello to you ALL and thanks for your interest in participating in our organization Charity 5K. Our organization is an Atlanta based all female motorcycle club known as La Femme TTG (Trained To Go) MC. As bikers, our goal is to promote a culture of sisterhood and service within our community.
This is a very exciting time for the La Femme TTG MC Organization as we dedicate our time and efforts towards bringing awareness to two very deserving causes within our communities; Breast Cancer Awareness and Underprivileged Teenage Mothers. Harley Davidson Thunder Tower, located in Morrow, GA, will be providing its facility as the race host location. Sisters by Choice, founded in 1989 by the prominent Atlanta- based breast surgeon Dr. Rogsbert F. Phillips-Reed, will be providing free breast screenings the day of the event. House of Dawn, which provides a stable and loving home for teen mothers ages 13 to 19 and their children at risk for potential homelessness, physical, psycho-emotional and sexual abuse, was elected by the members of La Femme TTG MC as the primary recipient of a portion of the proceeds raised from the event.
We have set forth an aggressive media campaign to promote the event which includes a collaborative effort to push awareness and participation by all participating organizations mentioned above, radio advertisement (V103), all major social media outlets, flyer distribution, word of mouth by local celebrity supporters and all La Femme TTG MC members, as well as many other organizations within the Atlanta motorcycle community.
On behalf of La Femme TTG, we thank you for choosing to support our event !!!
This 5K is in support of two well deserving charities...
HOUSE OF DAWN
House of Dawn provides a stable, loving, home to teen mothers ages 13 to 19 and their children at risk for potential homelessness, physical, psycho-emotional and sexual abuse.
Under adult supervision and a highly trained staff, each young mother and her child will benefit from:
Life skills training
Mental and physical health services.
House of Dawn offers a Transitional Living Program for homeless single women ages 18-23 and their children who need supportive housing assistance. This program is designed to provide affordable housing while providing a life coach.
SISTERS BY CHOICE
Sisters By Choice (SBC) was founded in 1989 by Dr. Rogsbert F. Phillips-Reed, a prominent Atlanta-based breast surgeon, SBC has evolved into a multi-faceted organization providing services for uninsured and undeserved women.
SBC provides over 1000 free mammograms and breast exams to uninsured, unemployed and homeless women each year and provides free educational seminars, workshops, and health fairs to promote breast cancer awareness.
This year, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and thousands will not receive lifesaving screenings and treatment because they either lack access or resources to receive quality breast care.
