If you’re ready to get started on that nonfiction book idea, this is the class for you. From planning and developing a manuscript, to creating a compelling book proposal, this workshop will provide you with the guidance and inspiration you need to get the job done. You’ll learn to define your writing goals, refine your initial ideas, determine your target audience, develop your authorial voice, structure the book, enliven your text with anecdotes, integrate research and interviews, and choose a marketable title. Work in progress will be shared in a constructive, critical environment. Guidance in the art of book proposal writing will be offered for those students ready to present their work to the publishing community. Writers of any type of nonfiction book are welcome, including business people who wish to use a book to grow their company, develop their brand, or create a calling card for their consulting work.
