Coloring the Causeway for a Cure is sponsored by ITG Realty, a local real estate company providing buying and selling services for residential, commercial, and investment properties in Brevard County.
Coloring the Causeway for a Cure was started with the purpose of helping local individuals and families affected by cancer. Each year in the first week of February we have a 5k walk over the Melbourne Causeway where we invite people to dress up in the cancer color they are there to support (or all the colors) to raise money for locals. We have a wonderful organization who benefits from our walk; Cancer Centers Foundation of Brevard & SCREW Cancer.
Cancer Care Centers Foundation of Brevard (CCCF)-
Cancer affects the entire body- mentally, physically, and spiritually. At CCF they aim to address all aspects of your care in order to heal all of you. One of the first areas CCCF addresses is that of financial stress. The Foundation seeks to ease this burden by assisting the uninsured and under insured patient with transportation, rent/utility and medication. In addition to financial assistance, CCCF offers cancer survivors and caregivers several cancer support groups which the Foundation sponsors. Visit www.cccfoundationinc.org
SCREW (Surviving Cancer Requires Eternal Will) Cancer -
SCREW Cancer's goal is to promote awareness through a bold statement and to provide financial backing to those organizations that are committed to research, care, emotional, and financial support. This year SCREW Cancer will be helping two local families. Visit www.screwcancer.com
