Description
Tai Chi is a gentle, low impact mind body form of exercise with smooth, flowing movements that contain an inner power to strengthen the body and mind while promoting better health and increased relaxation. This class will use the Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention program developed by Dr. Paul Lam in Australia using the Sun Style of Tai Chi and was designed to be safe and easy on the joints, to improve balance and to be easy to learn. This class is appropriate for adults of all ages who would like increased strength, coordination and flexibility, decreased joint pain, improved balance and posture, decreased stress and an increased sense of well-being. Tai Chi requires no special equipment and is generally performed standing. This program, however, can also be done seated if desired.
