Yoga Nidra - Guided Deep Relaxation

with Rosemary
Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of coming to deep physical, mental and emotional tranquility. Yoga Nidra is best practiced laying down on your back, with eyes closed and the body made completely comfortable. It involves deep calming with inner awareness while the instructor leads a guided session with his/her voice. The teacher will use suggestions, visualization and positive affirmation to create an environment in which relaxation can occur.
Some gifts of Yoga Nidra include: releasing of old habits, improved energy, less worry and stress. Yoga Nidra can be practiced by anyone of any size or shape. This is not a physical exercise, but rather a technique for physical rejuvenation, mental relaxation, spiritual growth and overall wellness.
All that is required is that you wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat and 1-2 blankets. Always check with your doctor before engaging in any activity you have not done before.
