Adult Introductory Tap Class 6-Week Session
Wednesdays, March 23rd-May 4, no class 4/20 11am-11:45am
If you want to learn tap but never had the opportunity or danced as a child and remember it fondly, this tap class is great for beginners or dancers with some tap experience. Classes will include fundamental tap technique, movements and vocabulary, basic rhythms and combinations both across the floor and center. Broadway and jazz tap styles will be taught. Tap legends and the rich history of tap dance will be discussed as well. Dance has been proven to help with reflexes, coordination and improve concentration and memory!
Starting February 26, the Town of Matthews will be following Mecklenburg County's decision to no longer require masks to be worn indoors. We still ask that if you are not feeling well, please stay home.
Required for Class - Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, tap shoes (Oxford style is best) and the desire to learn and have fun!
