Full day camp (8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) located entirely at Lowe Park in Marion. Theme: How Does Your Garden Grow? We’ll plant, paint, dig, explore, sculpt, and snack as we celebrate gardening season! Discover why small soil critters are vital to our food system through hands-on exploration with Matthew 25. Make take-home garden sculptures from recycled materials with the Linn County Solid Waste Agency. Sample healthy fruits and vegetables with Summit’s chef Miss Rachel as we “eat the colors of the rainbow” and examine how certain foods help us grow. Paint a take-home flower pot as we get creative with Summit’s art teacher, Miss Carol. This exciting event is open to ALL STUDENTS K-6th Grades!

About This Organizer

Summit is a community preparing the next generation for her/his roles as lifelong learners, as well as, fostering each child’s academic and social needs. We try to meet each child at his/her current academic level.

Our curriculum is centered around personalized learning and providing unique learning experiences for our students. Summit is different because our teaching methodology educates the whole student through our multi-sensory approach that identifies the best way she or he learns.

Summit students, teachers, and staff learn by strongly emphasizing the application of knowledge to future and real-life projects. Traditional subject bases coupled with music, technology, and foreign language experiences encourage collaboration and cooperation between students.

Families choose Summit because they see the value in providing both traditional and innovative learning experiences to help their children think critically, learn for themselves, and understand connections among disparate entities.
