The Hallo-Wiener Hustle is a yearly relay race with a twist! Each team consists of 4 participants. Each participant must be at least 21 years of age becuase after they run 1 mile, they must drink a beer and eat a hot dog as fast as they can so the next team member can run, drink, eat and repeat.
Each team will not only be judged on timing, but on costumes as well!
This event has sold out in the past 3 years and has made great strides in supporting our Charity Partner- The American Red Cross of NH.

Event details and schedule
The 2017 Hallo-Wiener Hustle will be on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at McGarvey's on Elm Street in Manchester, NH.
The Team Captain can pick up their teams packet/bibs at registration the morning of the race at Registration which opens at 8:30 am.
Runner 1 needs to be at the starting line by 9:55 am. Shot gun start at 10:00am.
Don't forget to coordinate with your team on a costume! They will be judged and prizes will be awarded!
The course is approx. 1 mile and will be as follows:
* North on Elm Street turning right onto Blodget Street
* Right onto Chestnut Street running south to alley way adjacent to Alley Cat Pizza
* Right into the alleyway behind McGarvey’s -- in through the back entrance.
-Once back at McGarvey's find your station (numbered according to Bib #) Grab a hot dog & a beer -- consume both entirely!
-Have a judge “x” your hand to signify you’re done and head out the front door of the bar -- -passing off the timing strap to Runner 2 - - repeat, repeat, repeat!
-When Runner 4 is finished exit the front of the bar and return your timing strap to complete the time for your team!
- Each team member must run one relay leg. No team member is allowed to run more than one leg.
- All runners must be 21 years of age or older.
- All teams must check in at least fifteen minutes prior to start time. The race starts at 10:00 am. Due to the pedestrian congestion, it is requested that only the lead runners be in the starting area at the start of the relay race.
- Relay runners must have their bib number in clear sight on their front at all times during the race.
- There will be traffic control along the course, at all intersections and at the exchange zone. There will also be race officials monitoring the race route throughout the race. The rules are for your safety and not to be taken lightly. Violations of the race rules will be cause for immediate disqualification.
- Relay runners will completely ingest a hot dog and beer before their next teammate may begin their leg. Intentional spilling of the beer or dropping/spitting of the hot dog will be grounds for disqualification at the judge’s discretion. An “empty mouth” is required before receiving the judge’s go-ahead to move on.
- The Hot Dog & Beer must remain in the relay runner’s body until hand off of the timing strap. Should a runner “return” their hot dog or beer prior to the hand off, that runner’s time will be assigned a one minute penalty.
- Timing strap hand-offs must only be made in the designated exchange zone. Any team observed handing off anywhere other than the designated exchange zones will be disqualified from place consideration.
- Should a team drop out, they are required to notify the race organizers.
- Progress of all teams will be monitored and as long as a team is "running" the finish line will remain open until 12:00 pm.
- Top finishers in the male, female and co-ed team categories will be identified. Co-ed is defined as a team with two or more female runners.
- Parking is on the street and first come first serve. There are some spaces that may require you to pay the meter, but most spots are free on Sundays.
