Shaped by centuries old volcanic eruptions, Camiguin is known as the Island of Born of Fire. Fourteen volcanos exist (Philvolcs number) on a single island, but only one of the former remains on the active list. The volcanic island has so much to offer including black sand beaches (a product of eruptions), a sunken cemetery now overgrown with coral after it sank in 1871, thriving reefs, and a striking white sandbar which may have broken off from the main island.
A modern national road runs the circumference of the island, a total of 60Km around. Guests can also explore waterfalls, hike up dormant volcanos, and sample the surprising variety of restaurants.
This will be our maiden swim in Camiguin and we are excited to introduce everyone to the beauty of the less visited but amazing island.
