The practice of yoga has many benefits to health and daily life. Not only can it improve flexibility, strength and balance, it can also help with better sleep, stress reduction, relaxation, improved energy and mood. This class will work on seated postures as well as standing sequences and balance. Participants should be comfortable getting up and down off the floor and weight bearing on their hands. Class will begin seated in a chair being guided through a short meditation and seated postures. Then proceed into standing sequences and balance poses working on uniting breath and body together. The practice will finish with restorative stretches on your mat ending with a restful relaxation. Guidance will be given to work within your own ability and body’s capabilities.
