About this event
Moor Park
Ludlow Ludlow, Shropshire, United Kingdom SY8 4DZStarting at Moor Park school on the Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire border, our new Shropshire event takes you out of the village of Richard's Castle, near Ludlow and onto some brand new trails for Maverick Race. All three routes weave through the Shropshire hills AONB, taking in a mix of rolling farmland, woodland trails and river valleys. Despite the mix of terrain and variety of landscape, you can be certain that the main characteristics of these three routes are; hills, hills and more hills.
All three routes will be alive with the sound of Skylarks, Redstarts and Buzzards and the sights of green golden valleys and dramatic moorlands. You will run along a mix well trodden waymarked trails (Hereford and Mortimer Trails) and smaller less beaten paths. You will weave up and over the remains of Richards Castle itself as part of the 700m of elevation gain (on the long route), which will certainly leave you breathless.
We are so excited to bring a brand new event for 2020 in an area that is so unspoilt and rich in a love for the great British outdoors. We can’t wait to explore a brand new AONB in the UK and share it with our Maverick trail Family, we just hope you can join us in September for the fun.
Also please take the opportunity to test some of the amazing gear from Adidas TERREX
