Get fit.... mind, body, and spirit! Fitness, academics, community service, and life skills, the experiences you have in Teen LEAD will help you become the person you want to be. During this 8-week course participants will learn how to design their own workout and the facts about achieving a healthy livable diet. Teen LEAD participants will get involved in community service projects, college prep/life skills workshops, and receive support that will help them finish high school ready to face the real world.
The impact on their lives is dramatic. Teen participants build self-confidence, learn to accept and overcome challenges, graduate from high school, attend college, plan for their futures, contribute to their communities, and serve as role models to their peers.
During this 8-week course, participants meet once a week, are required to attend at least two workshops, and volunteer for at least one YMCA sanctioned event or 30 hours of leadership community hours to receive credit. Certificate of completion will be handed out at the end of the 8 weeks, if all requirements were completed.
This enrollment is for the Teen LEAD program. Once you are signed up you will receive an email with the schedule and you will receive weekly emails with the links to sign up for each workshop.
