Description
We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Friday, January 24, 2025.
Dear families:
The YMCA is pleased to offer child care for children of essential workers, first responders and children of families who have been displaced, evacuated or who have lost property. We have very limited spaces available.
- Your local YMCA is opening its doors for children of essential workers, first responders and children of families who were displaced, evacuated or lost property. This child care program is designed to support children of essential workers, first responders and children of families who were displaced, evacuated or lost property, who may be unable to attend school.
- This program is being offered at no-cost. We are prioritizing this program for children of essential workers, first responders and children of families who were displaced, evacuated or lost property.
- Children must be at least 5 years old to attend the program and be in grades TK-8th.
Here are the important details:
- You must register online via the YMCA portal.
- This program is being offered only for the day or days listed in the session name. Program will be extended to additonal days, as needed.
- If your child currently attends a YMCA after school program or if your child attended a YMCA day camp program in the year 2024 or 2025, and your child has a completed CampDoc packet, no additional paperwork is needed.
- If your child is new to the YMCA, please complete this emergency form and waiver and bring it with you when you drop-off your child (we will also have printed copies available if you wish to complete it in-person while at the YMCA):

If your child has homework or school work, please send them with their assignments and any school technology (like Chromebook) that they may need to access digital learning. Although not required, children may bring a face mask to wear.
- Please note that all activities at the YMCA will remain indoors unless it is safe to be outside. Doors and windows will remain close to ensure that our air filtration systems are working properly. We will provide fun indoor activities like arts and crafts, games and sports, all indoors.
- We will provide adequate staffing from our before and after school programs. You can meet the program director at sign-in. Our staff are CPR/First Aid certified and trained in child development, youth development, safety and risk management.
