Shotokan Karate-Do (SKIF System) is a traditional Japanese martial art. The study of karate is an inner search for growth and self-discipline, which encompasses many ideals. Students will be trained in the basic exercises involving punching, blocking, kicking, stances, forms, sparring, and self-defense. A white karate uniform is required and can be ordered through your instructor Jim Shea, a Longmeadow resident who has been teaching karate for over 47 years. No class on 7/4, 7/23, 7/25
