"Beat the Heat" 5k Fun Run is a wet and wild adventure! It features water, foam tunnels, fire hose, slip and slide, a human car wash, squirt guns, and lots of fun! The course is set in the beautiful desert valley of Logandale, NV in early May, just when the temperature is really heating up. The path winds through the grounds and onto the public pathway, featuring just enough challenge and elevation change to make for a great run. Along the path will be random squirtings to keep runners cool. The foam tunnel, the slip and slide, and the human car wash are awesome but optional parts of the fun. Runners feel free to bring your own squirt guns to join the fun or squirt back. The fun run starts and ends at the fairgrounds which will feature live music, cool treats and awards.
The Logandale Fire Department will be on hand to offer hosings. To show our appreciation. all fire, police, first responders and military personnel will be offered discounted entry. The unit with the most runners will win a display trophy!
The JAG Career Association of Moapa Valley High School is hosting the event. JAG focuses on pathfinding and preparing young people for the workplace, college, and or military. The money earned from the fun run will be used for service projects and leadership building as well as college and career opportunities for JAG Students.
The JAG Career Association brought you the "Run for Your Life" 5k Zombie Run last year, and it was an awesome event.
