Beautiful trails, scenic water views, FREE lunch for runners and lots of fun for the whole family!
Storm the Watershed is a festival and 15K/5K trail run (or walk) featuring rolling hills and beautiful scenery along the banks of the Long Branch Reservoir in Locust Grove, GA. The event promotes the importance of watershed health and an awareness of the need to prevent pollution caused by stormwater runoff.
All participants will receive a post-race lunch plate from Gezzo's Food Truck, long sleeve shirts, and Hoo-rag bandana! The event will also include parent/child fishing, face painting, take home crafts, music, pumpkin painting and more!

Online registration closes at 6:00pm (est), Wednesday, October 10, 2018.
15K: $40 online; $45 day of race
5K: $25 online; $30 day of race
Festival: FREE to all!
NOTE: All Online fees will incur a nominal transaction fee.
8:00 a.m. – Parking Opens
8:30 a.m. – Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup
9:30 a.m. – 15K Trail Run Begins
9:45 a.m. – 5K Trail Run Begins
10:00 a.m. – Post-Race Family Water Festival Opens
The 15K course will encircle Long Branch Reservoir with views of the water along the route for the first 7 miles. The last two miles will be along narrower, wooded trails. The 5K course will begin in the narrow, wooded trails and conclude along Long Branch Reservoir. The trails are established and feature rolling hills. All race course trails will be marked as either 15K or 5K. See the full course details at www.stormthewatershed.com
All participants may pick up their race numbers on race day starting at 8:30 a.m.
The Family Festival will be full of fun! All participants with a race bib will receive a free lunch plate from Gezzo's Food truck. Family and friends can enjoy the fall festval and order lunch at the Gezzo's food truck. All festival activities are free of charge and we encourage you to visit the booths and learn about how you can protect your watershed.
We will have great giveaways from local vendors and family fun activities like parent/child fishing, face painting and take home crafts! Visit our website for up to date details.
Medals will be given to top overall male and female, top masters male and female, and top three male and female age group awards from 14 & under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+
Parking will be available at the Cubihatcha Outdoor Education Center. The gates will open at 8:00 a.m. for parking to begin.
