BLOCK II COVERS CLASSES FROM 10/26 THROUGH 11/30 (excluding 11/2 & 11/23) Delve into the realm of paper art and mixed-media collage to create unique, hand-made books. Students will explore the potential of a basic concertina book fold, along with other variations including a lotus fold and a meandering fold. From there, students will apply paint to paper for the books and can use a variety of materials, including stamps, sponges, stencils, brushes, brayers, and feathers, sticks or other mark-making objects. Create a book motif - nature, landscape or seascape, buildings or homes, abstract shapes and lines. Handmade books take expressive form as students enjoy the process of constructing and composing each page. Everyone is welcome, whether you have loads of art-making experience, a little bit, or none at all!
