POUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and Isometric poses. Burn calories, strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles, and drum your way to a leaner, slimmer physique - all while rocking out to your favorite music! Each 2-4 minute song is carefully calibrated with interval peaks and extended fat burning sequences, providing you with a great workout in a short span of time. Bring a mat, but Ripstixs are provided.
Please read carefully to make sure you are comfortable with the program structure prior to enrolling.
•At your first in-person class, each participant will be required to sign a waiver that includes language regarding COVID. Due to the length of this waiver, we are making the document available on our website (www.wsrec.org/information). You might want to consider bringing your own pen to sign the waiver.
•Facemasks are optional.
•We will not ask customers about their vaccination status
•We are asking staff and participants to perform self-health checks before attending the program and if there is a health concern to stay home that day.
•The program may utilize equipment that will be shared by participants.
•We recommend that you bring your own hand sanitizer if desired.
•Make sure you have your own personal mat and bring a towel & water.
•All activities instructed by Marisa Stipe may move to an online streaming Facebook LIVE format if any reason comes up that the class can’t be held “in-person”. If you were already enrolled in the Saturday Facebook group from this past summer, we will leave you in that FB group when registering for this fall activity. If you did not participate in the summer sessions, you will need to request to join the daily Facebook group via our FB page.
