(A Partnership Project Online Offering by Beck Center for the Arts, Fairmount Center for the Arts and Valley Art Center) Experience the exciting medium of watercolor as you develop composition in line, shape, color, texture, and value. Skills in plotting your drawing, spatial relationships, and use of light and shadow will be covered. All levels welcome. This class is taught via a series of YouTube videos and Zoom meetings with the instructor. Online Supply List: Watercolors - either tubed or in a watercolor palette. If using tubed watercolors, an empty watercolor palette, jar for water, variety of brush sizes, watercolor paper or block (Arches Aquarelle or similar is good), If using single sheet watercolor paper, I suggest having a hard drawing board to tape or staple your paper to, pencil for sketching your drawings, eraser, ruler, frisket/drawing gum, kosher salt. An Associate Director will contact the student by email listed on the student's account with log in information no sooner than one week and no later than 3 hours before the first session.***Note that due to the collaboration, this course is 8 weeks. Other Beck Center classes have different meeting dates.
