The San Jacinto Texas Independence Fun Run - Walk is on the site of the Battle of San Jacinto that was fought and won on April 21, 1836. Runners will be traveling in the footsteps of the brave soliders that won this battle in about 18 minutes. Some of the fastest runners will complete this course in the time that Sam Houston and his army won this battle.
Event details and schedule
With the addition of the 10K, you might need to park either at the Battleship Texas parking lot or at OxyVinyl's parking lot. Come early to park at the Monument. All 1K participates will receive an award. 5K and 10K Runners will be received an award 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each 5 age bracket for both men and women. (10 - 14; 15 - 19; 20 - 24; 25 -29; 30 -34; 35-39; 40 - 44;45 - 49; 50 -54; 55 - 59; 60 - 64; 65- 70)
