Join us for a fun-filled event that is open island-wide to all participants. Haunted Neon Nights Run/Walk is more than just a 3 mile run/walk, it’s an experience. Experience a night event filled with illuminating lights, motivating music, and of course neon glow paint. This fun filled event is for everyone! All you have to do is be prepared to have a fun and enjoyable experience.
The After Party:
When you reach the finish line, participants may rage in the “Party Zone” featuring DJ Jahboy. Participants can dance to hit music as well as enjoy a purchased beverage in the Outdoor beer garden (21+ years; Outdoor beer garden will close at 11:00PM).
You may also enjoy a dinner meal at Shenanigans. An assorted pizza, pasta and salad bar line will be included with registration to this event; or just simply order off our delicious menu.
And/or stay after the run to enjoy a complimentary children’s haunted outdoor movie.
A 3 mile course across solid terrain around PMRF barking sands. The course is stationed with 3 glow zones where participants will not only be able to refuel, but be energized by illuminating lights, motivating music and sprayed with non-flammable, acid-free, and lotion-based glow paint.
*Glow paint will be sprayed/thrown on participants throughout the race. If you wish to not be painted, please redirect towards the “no paint zones” throughout the course. Glow paint is not recommended for children under 3 years of age.
Event details and schedule
Open to the general public, ages 6+ years old are welcomed.
*Children 5 years and younger may participate in the run. However, for safety reasons they must be accompanied by an adult and escorted in a stroller/wagon throughout the run course.
Parents or guardians must sign a waiver on the day of the event for participants under the age of 18.
*Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the race.
Day of Event Registration:
Registration will occur at the basketball courts at PMRF Barking Sands. Participants will pick up registration packets and obtain general information about the run.
Packets include race bib, Participation Shirt, and glow gear.
*Event participation t-shirts will be given to all early registered participants. Late registered participants will receive t-shirts based on availability.
Is this a timed event?
This will not be an officially timed event. However, a running clock will be displayed for your convenience.
What should I wear?
This is a Halloween Glow themed event, so have fun with your outfit. Costumes, glow items, neon lights, flashing/blinking apparel are all welcomed. We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting “glow’d out”
What do I need to bring?
Please bring your confirmation receipt and a valid State or Federal ID on the day of registration.
Pets, outside food and beverages, coolers, weapons and contraband are NOT permitted.
Are walkers welcomed to attend?
Yes they are. As a courtesy to the running participants, we kindly ask that walkers remain towards the back of the starting line.
May I bring a stroller to the event?
Yes strollers are allowed. As a courtesy to the running participants, we kindly ask that participants with strollers remain towards the back of the starting line.
