A beautiful and fun Biathlon event on the North Shore, consisting of an ocean swim fronting Turtle Bay Resort + a 5k trail run through Kawela Bay.
2ND ANNUAL RACE - LABOR DAY WEEKEND - SPEND THE DAY AT TURTLE BAY
The North Shore of Oahu is the most isolated and pristine coastline on the island, offering incredible views and an amazing biathlon racecourse. Come experience this one of a kind event first hand in some of the most scenic and beautiful terrain the island has to offer.
The Turtle Bay Biathlon will start with an ocean swim.
There are 2 start options – Start A is a beach start in front of Ola’s, and swimming around Kuilima Pt. This course is approximately 1,800M.
Swim start B is a water start along the reef fronting the TBR pool bar. This course is approximately 1,000M.
Both courses will swim along the coastline in Kuilima Bay, and around the Pill Box / Bunker pt, and exit the water in front of the large rock. The bottom is shallow, but smooth and covered with algae. Don’t worry your toes and feet are safe upon exit.
Out of the water you will make a short run up the sandy beach and into the shaded transition area.
Once ready head West and along the coastline as you begin the 5k around Kawela Bay. The run portion consists of multiple marked loop trails through the varied terrains of Kawela Bay, including coastline runs, beach running, shaded jungle trails, and flat open grass fields. The trail will take you to the finish line back on the Great Lawn of TBR.
