The Family Folk Machine will offer an online session this January through May, starting with Zoom rehearsal on Sunday, January 10 at 3:00 p.m. We plan to offer two rehearsals per month with shorter sing-alongs or other singing sessions for in-between weeks. During rehearsals we will incorporate exercises for maintaining strong, healthy voices, musical skill-building and ear training, lots of singing, socializing, and learning parts for new songs. Participants can also contribute to an optional virtual recording project. We aim to encourage and sustain each other while keeping up with singing and musical learning to tide us over until we can gather again in person.
The Family Folk Machine is open to all adults and children without regard to musical background, demographic factors, or ability to pay registration fees. Regular registration fees are $50 per adult and $30 per kid; pay-what-you-can is always an option. For more information and to register, contact Jean Littlejohn, director, at jean@familyfolkmachine.org.
