Feed Your Imagination - First Friday!
ASL ACCESSIBLE! May 3, 6-8:30pm
Ages 5-12yrs (Formerly known as Parents' Night Out) Feed Your Imagination (FYI) is a monthly program that provides social based art making and creative play for children ages 5-12. Once a month on Friday or Saturday evenings children will participate in creative thinking games, learn about artists, explore art materials and practice techniques and skills. Participants will have an evening filled with art and pizza! MAY'S THEME: ASL Accessible! Explore earth and space, through the eyes of animals. What does the beach look like to a crab? How does a waterfall sound to a fish? What would outer space be like for a fox? Our young artists will imagine themselves as animals, develop a character sketch and create land, sea and space-scapes - for a fun adventure! This two-dimensional project will use mixed media techniques. We will view a short wordless, animated film, Fox and the Whale, 12 minutes, link here: https://youtu.be/3nDWWY4_rNw, pizza will be served, and art will be made!
