This unforgettable one-week experience brings together the excitement of mounting a fully-staged musical production (sets! costumes! props!) with theatre games and activities that stretch kids' creativity and bravery muscles. Two professional actor / educators work alongside the students, leading by example on and off stage and helping your camper shine. Every actor will speak, sing, move, or dance on stage during the performance. While the majority of campers will act in the play, we also offer three technician slots. Campers must have completed second grade in order to be a technician and are eligible through the summer following high school graduation. Technicians will have the same camp schedule and structure as actors, but they will work behind-the-scenes during rehearsals and in the performance and may have responsibilities like running lights or sound, helping move scenery, or other tasks assigned by the CCD actor / educators to help keep the show running smoothly. All students, 1st-12th grade, are part of the play, a cooperative process that encourages empathy, trust and responsibility. Campers collaborate across grade levels during daily rehearsals, then divide for age-appropriate games and activities. The week culminates in the campers' full-length musical performance! **Please Note: We will follow up to date CDC Guidelines for K-12 Schools** - https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/schools-childcare/k-12-guidance.html
