What's Included

If you’re not familiar with the Maker Movement, it represents the growing community of inventors, designers, and tinkerers who come together to discuss and display what they’ve created. We are bring the Maker Movement to the classroom through our R.A.G.E Projects which include fun in Robotics, Aerospace, Green Energy and Engineering that excite students curiosity about STEM. ROBOTICS is a high tech interactive learning experience where participants learn how to construct, code, collaborate and compete with a robot of their own design in small teams. While having fun, youth are engaged in teamwork, as well as computer science, problem solving using math, robot engineering design concepts and critical thinking. (90 minutes) AEROSPACE is a high tech- low tech adventure into aerospace that focuses on how aviation and space flight has been achieved from an engineering prospective while giving participants hands on minds on experience with low technology, simple technology as well high technology (computers, tablets, cell phones, apps, cameras). Participants will conduct investigations and experiments with a variety of flying aircraft such as pop rockets, bottle rockets, and paper air plane drones. (90 minutes) GREEN ENGINEERING explores the sun and wind as renewable energy sources. Join the fun as learning is taken to the next level through hands-on, minds-on “green” energy make and take labs. As makers participants become independent inventors, designers and tinkerers by constructing models of real-life mechanisms and problem-solving: Solar-Electric Vehicles, Wind Turbines & E-Houses. (90 minutes) Recommended: 4th - 8th Grade Educators
