The 1st Annual Kings of Queen’s Beach is open to the first 36 Surfers who have a valid DLNR Commercial Motorboat Operators Permit (men and women) that have the skills the competency and fitness and have been a part of the Waikiki Beach boys surfing traditions and history.

Longboard 9’ and over only, surf leash is optional [No stand up or SUP].
$35.00 Entry Fee is non-refundable and will be considered as a donation to Duke’s OceanFest / Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation.
All competitors will receive a Duke’s OceanFest shirt, access to the OceanFest sponsors tent with food and beverages (served 11am-2pm.)
Awards for 1st thru 4th place to be crowned as King of Queen’s Beach on August 21st.
There will be max of SIX surfers in each heat. The top two surfers in each heat will advance on to the semi–finals. Two surfers from each semi-final will move into the final heat.
The order of preference for registration is given to:
- 1st priority to Catamaran Captains and Canoe Captains
- 2nd priority to Canoe Second Captains, Surfboard Instructors and Sailboard Instructors
- 3th priority to Honolulu City and County Lifeguards from Waikiki
- 4th priority to Life Guards from other areas outside of Waikiki
1st priority - Catamaran Captains and Canoe Captains: Registration begins on July 1
2nd priority - Canoe Second Captains and Surfboard Instructors with valid Blue card: Registration begins on July 15
3rd priority – City and County Lifeguards from Waikiki: Registration begins on July 25
4th priority – C&C Lifeguards outside of Waikiki: Registration begins on August 5
Open Registration for all priority divisions will continue until August 16.
On Line registration will close on August 16th.
Late Registration and Beach Registration will be available IF SPACE ALLOWS. Late/Beach entry fee will be $50.
