59th Annual July 4th Road Race is organized by the Hingham Recreation Commission. Race proceeds offset program costs, fund 32 Summer Program scholarships based on need, support community events, and help fund field renovations. This is a Community race with over 2300 pre-registered runners in 2016, wheelchair division, 22 age and gender categories

Runner Info: Unique Course - 4.47 miles, point to point, Fast, runner friendly, downhill-dipped, few gradual uphill climbs, down historic Main St., ending under huge flag with enthusiastic crowd.
Timing will be recorded by disposable timing chips
Start line divided in 3 sections - less than 7 minutes per mile, between 7-8 minutes per mile, and more than 8 minutes per mile
Support Services: 3 water stations, EMT services. Restrooms at start area only. Transportation to start departing from Station Street Parking at 5:15 AM. Return Transportation available starting at 730 AM on South Street near CVS.

Race Day Number and T-shirt pick-up - Only at the Hingham Middle School - 5:30 AM - 6:30 AM
For Race Safety: No pets, strollers, baby joggers, skates, skateboards, or bikes. Unregistered runners will be diverted off the course
