Are you feeling a bit unstable on your feet? Did you know that risk of falls increase proportionately with age? Balance is related to how you use your feet and where you hold your center of gravity. By strengthening weak muscles you will learn how to correct bad posture and move differently. You will learn and practice strengthening exercises both in a sitting and standing positions. You will also learn how to relax in your body through breathing exercises. As you gain better balance you will start feeling more at ease in your body and therefore energized and younger. Please wear loose clothing -no belts please. Classes will be held in a relaxed, group setting with plenty of individual care. The series will include education and exercises in the following areas. Balance-Stability Strategies, Coordination, Core Stabilization, Proper Movement Patterns, Dynamic Walking, Leg & Foot Strength as well as weekly exercises to practice at home.
