Helping Hands at the Hager House
The character of a community is built when citizens come together in a shared spirit of service. Enjoy volunteering alongside others that are passionate about preserving the distinct character of this unique place- the site of the town founder's first home, built in 1739. Spend a little time making friends and enjoying nature, while providing light-gardening such as weeding and watering flower beds, and small acts of caring such as keeping the water ways pristine and clean, at the historic gardens & grounds, followed by a free tour of the Jonathan Hager House Museum! All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please enroll in advance for free- so we know how many pairs of gloves and materials to provide.
