What this class covers: - Firearms Safety - Range Rules and Etiquette - Common terminology - Types of pistols and how they work - Firearms handling - Fundamentals of shooting The classroom portion takes about 3 hours, depending on class size. We will break for lunch then head to the range for the live fire portion of the class. Location(s) for classroom and range time may be at separate locations and will be provided in your registration confirmation. Unless otherwise specified, classroom is located in the greater Goose Creek area and range is located in the greater Summerville area. All-inclusive package - $100/person: Includes facilities fees, eye and ear protection, semi-automatic pistol, 10 rounds of ammunition and a target. Select the Session Options/Add On for this package.. $25 will be added to the $75 standard class fee. Bring-My-Own-Gear package - $75/person: Includes facilities fees and target, but you bring your own firearm, eye and ear protection, and at least 10 rounds of ammunition Register for the Chunky Monkey class on May 15th when you register for this class, and get a $20 discount. - You will have to complete a survey to ensure the instructor knows the make/model of firearm you plan to bring. Some firearms and calibers may not be allowed for this class; such as antique or rare firearms, and higher caliber firearms (.45, .357, .44, .50, 10mm), which are detrimental to learning for new shooters. - Your firearm MUST be in good working condition and will be verified as being in good working condition on the range by the instructor prior to you being allowed to shoot it during the class. - Minimum 25 rounds of ammunition that is factory new in their original box, "FMJ" ammunition (full metal jacket training type, NOT hollow point) in the correct type and caliber for your firearm. - Reloaded/Handloaded ammunition is NEVER allowed. Factory remanufactured or new ammunition only.
