What's Included

Held in Science room. Animals, bees, and insects are important to sustaining our environment. Create a bug hunting kit, observe a praying mantis egg sac and watch baby bugs emerge. Discover how the honeybee does more than make honey and how the elephant is a sustainable resource. We will make our own paper! Did you know that many animals and insects help take care of our environment on earth? Or that the ocean is a vast ecosystem full of strange and unusual creatures? How about that the U.S. alone produces 243 million tons of garbage each year and much of it ends up in the ocean, called the Great Pacific Garbage Patch? In this session, students will learn about our wonderful world of creatures that make a difference on our planet and how we can protect their environment. We will discover the impact of tons of plastic debris on ocean life and our food supply, as well as what we can do to preserve our oceans. Learn more about going green and taking care of our earth!
