Chair Yoga is a wonderful way to practice yoga. The chair is used as a prop to allow our bodies to be comfortable in Yoga practice. Yoga is always a practice and a new experience. The word yoga means “union” in Sanskrit, the language of ancient India where Yoga originated. We can think of the union occurring between the mind, body and spirit (our whole being). In Chair Yoga class, participants will practice postures to increase circulation, alleviate muscle and joint discomforts and increase range of motion. The practice of calming the nervous system will also occur. Yoga is fun too, so come and join us! Virtual class code will be e-mailed to you the week before class begins.
