Description

We're sorry, but this course is over. The last meeting was Sunday, May 31, 2020.

Photographers have used lighting to add special interest to portraits for years. This course is for people who are interested in learning this technique. This class focuses on such topics as posing your subject, creating three-dimensional contrast with highlights and shadows, high key vs. low key lighting, using a flash meter, lighting ratios, the inverse square law, and understanding strobe lighting. Students will complete this class having produced portfolios of portraits of models and their classmates. Students should have solid camera operation skills. On the first day of class, students should bring their digital SLR/Mirrorless camera with the manual. Point-and-shoot cameras are not appropriate for this course.
