About this event
Adult advisor: Lily Luo Email: reibo586li@gmail.com Student Advisor: Ryan, Kai, Ronald Dates: Every Wednesday with the first meeting on 9/11 and the last meeting on 4/23 Time: 4:15 PM–5:15 PM Grades: 6–12* Originally listed as 8-12 Cost: $100 As the backbone of STEM, mathematics continues to grow in importance. Math competitions provide students with a unique opportunity to challenge their limits and learn more about the subject. We aim to show students how to think critically to solve problems, by truly understanding why the math works instead of memorizing formulas or applying brute force. Math Club will prepare students for upcoming exams such as AMCs and AIME while also providing a practice environment for team competitions. While middle schoolers will focus on team contests such as MathCounts and BmMT, high schoolers will prepare for competitions including BMT and SMT. This year, meetings will consist of fun weekly lectures with practice problems, in addition to practice tests and mock exams for upcoming competitions, maximizing students’ growth in mathematics. Our methods are proven, with many of our club members winning awards at competitions like BmMT, MathCounts, and qualifying for AIME and USA(J)MO. Join us today and witness the beauty of math for yourself
