Activity Advisors: Myntor Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Dates: Thursdays with the first practice on 1/9 and the last practice on 3/26 (No sessions on: 2/20) ATLAS teaches students how to work in teams and use critical problem-solving skills to develop solutions for real-world problems. ATLAS students for the Winter 2020 semester will develop solutions to either increase cultural competence (driven by the growing need for workplace soft skills) or reduce wildfire risk (driven by the devastating fires in California). Students will research the topic (week 1), design and manufacture their solutions (weeks 2-5), gather feedback (weeks 6-7), develop a sustainable business model (week 8-9), and complete the course with a Symposium where they will present and defend their solution to their peers, parents, and the school. Students will be able to keep their fire extinguisher or live app after the class.
