TEAMWORK, RESILIENCE, PERSEVERANCE

What:  Fun! Fun! More fun! Did we say fun? Esprit de Corps Challenge is an all day event where participants work together and experience a number of skills. Come out for the fun or come out to compete - you set the pace!  Test your skills or just have a good time at our skill stations to include shotgun shooting, archery, tomahawk throwing, fire starting, canoeing, rappelling, climbing, feats of strength, observation exercises, and a 5 or 11 mile team building trek.

Who: EDCC is open to individuals and groups ages 15 to 120 years.

Challengers - All fitness and skill levels welcomed.  Challengers have the option to do it all or only preferred portions of the event.

Competitors - Endurance and strength will be put to the test.  Two person team that completes all skill stations and an 11 mile trek.  Team performance is graded.
Competitor space is limited.

Where:  Camp Tuscarora, 965 Scout Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524

When:  Saturday, 12 September 2015

Why:  On September 11, 2001 our nation was attacked with the intent of instilling terror in the hearts and souls of Americans.  The lives of many were taken.  On this day we as a country chose be victors rather than victims.  We joined together as a nation, united and stronger than before….knocked down but not defeated.   A new war had begun.  In our war against terrorism myriad sacrifices have been made.  On September 12, 2015 we honor the lives of the fallen, their families, and the nation.

Tell Me More!

This event is hosted by Special Operators Challenge out of Fayetteville, North Carolina. What happens race day?: Participants arrive early at Camp Tuscarora.  After checking in and completing waiver forms, participants are given their troop assignments and are guided to their troop staging area.

Participants will be divided into 12 troops of up to 42 persons each.  All Competitors will be in one troop and the women’s only registrants will be in one troop.

Troops will move together through skill stations.  Each troop will begin the team building trek together.

Competitor teams will be scored based on performance at each skill station.  The 11 mile movement score is determined by time to complete the trek.
