Race Description: 5th Annual African World Peace 5K Road Race & Walk is part of the festivities of the African World Peace Festival from July 12 - 14, 2019 bringing you lots of new and never seeing entertainment in the City of Fayetteville, Cool Spring Downtown District. The actual Festival take off at 6 pm ending at 11 pm on Friday and start at 11 am to 11 pm on Saturday with lots of music and cultural dancers. It continues on Sunday from 12pm to 8pm.
Awards: 5K: Age Categories 10 & Under 11-21 22-32 33-43 44-54 55-65 67-70 & Above
Adult Civilians/Military $25 Kids $25 Festival is FREE to the public but Race Prices will Increase July 13 to $30 adults and Kids
Event News: This event is a fundraiser for the Loving Hands International and the Cultural & Heritage Alliance. These two organizations proudly presents the African World Peace Festival & 5K Road Race/Walk which will include a Race/Walk and a music concert poised at celebrating the rich diversity of the African and other culture for three days.
Come let's honor our veterans. CHA in collaboration with the Headquarters Library, will have free Workshops for Summer Camp Groups.We will have veterans and active duty soldiers entertain the community and public through music, arts, storytelling, live art painting etc.
Fun parts of the celebration includes cutural performances highlighting the different cultures, fashions, music, drumming and dancing performers, arts/craft displays, special African cuisine, Health and wellness (Free Screening), as well as family oriented activities and education.
Online registration closes on July 12, 2019, but you can still register on the race venue from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.
