Yoga is a great way to acquire strength and flexibility. The practice of yoga has been linked to calming the nervous systems, alleviating anxiety and depression symptoms, and creating general feelings of wellbeing. This class offers an introduction to traditional yoga: learn deep breathing techniques, Sun Salutations, and basic poses - with modifications given and building each week to help you learn a form you can practice at home. For those that want to learn Pranayama Breathing techniques to help with centering and calming, arrive by 5:45pm. Bring a yoga mat and water.
