We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Wednesday, August 21, 2019.
The Battle of Gettysburg was a turning point in the Civil War, the Union victory that ended General Robert E. Lee's second and most ambitious invasion of the North. Often referred to as the "High Water Mark of the Rebellion", Gettysburg was the Civil War's bloodiest battle and was also the inspiration for President Abraham Lincoln's immortal "Gettysburg Address.? A local historian will provide a 2-hour in-depth tour as you make several key stops around the battlefield while enjoying the comfort of the air-conditioned tour bus. Also included is a tour of the National Park Visitor Center that hosts a world-class gift shop and museum of many Civil War artifacts. Lunch is available on your own at the onsite café. Moderate walking required. For information contact Tracy Adkins, 410-313-7279 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
