Here is a chance for you and your dog to make history with Talbot Humane. We want you to break out the canine costumes for this year’s Festival! We have obtained permission to attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the largest number of dogs in a costume parade. This parade will be our Dog Walk for the event and is sponsored by Hair O’ The Dog. If the current record of 337 dogs is broken, then indeed each dog is a World Record Dog- now that is something to bark about!
Directions

Take Ocean Gateway to Idlewild Ave. Make a right onto Idlewild Ave. At the next light you will be at Aurora St., the park is to your left. Parking is abundant and free!

The following information is EXTREMELY important for all who plan to help Talbot Humane set the new Guinness Record! Setting a Guinness World Record is no joke – they take it VERY seriously and have strict guidelines we MUST FOLLOW for our attempt to be certified. If you want to help us set a GWR read the following guidelines & be prepared to follow them.1. Each dog must be confirmed as healthy be a qualified vet. (We will have vets on site.)2. Each dog must be accompanied by a handler. 3. Each dog must be in a complete, fully recognizable costume consisting of at least 2 pieces, e.g. dress and tiara. 4. The dogs must parade one by one with their handlers along a pre-measured distance. 5. If an animal cannot complete the entire length of the parade route, it must be deducted from the total count. 6. The animals must have enough space between them to allow them to move around freely.7. The following must all be recorded on a pre-printed sheet and submitted with the world record claim: breed of dog, name, gender, age and name and telephone number of the handler. (All of this information is required on the registration form.)This is a rain or shine event. There are no refunds due to inclement weather or personal inability to attend the event.

Fees

$25 PER DOG early registration on or before Thursday October 16, 2014; $35 PER DOG day of event
