On November 10th at 8:30 CWS-RDU, a local refugee resettlement agency, will be hosting its first ever 5 K on the Al Buehler trail around the Washington Duke golf course in Durham, NC. Alll ages and run/walk levels welcome to come out and race with us! Proceeds from this event will go to support our refugee resettlement, employment services for refugees, and immigration legal services for our clients. All runners/walkers will receive a beautiful Minors running this hilly trail course will need to have a parent/guardian sign a waiver for them on the morning of the run. Parking for this event: Those with a Duke parking sticker should plan to park in any campus parking lot for this event. There will be parking along 751/Cameron Blvd for those without Duke parking permits. Registration for the run is $25 until October 13. After Oct 13, the registration fee will be $35. Day of registration will be available on site starting at 7:30 AM.Sponsors: This race is being sponsored by Duke's Graduate and Professional Student Council, Service Learning at Duke, Bull City Coworking, Blend Cafe, and Fullsteam Brewery. All registered runners will be entered into a drawing to win great prizes like: a free night's stay at The King's Daughters Inn, a 3-month membership to Fitness World, a free night's stay at Aloft Chapel Hill, and a free growler of beer from Fullsteam.
